About us
Usool is a product of Novanex Studio, a studio that builds cloud products in Arabic. We built it for businesses in Saudi Arabia that still chase faults in WhatsApp groups and count their assets on paper.
Why we built Usool
A business with five branches has hundreds of assets: AC units, fridges, ovens, laptops and fire extinguishers. The tools available today are either international, priced per user and in English, or local, with a price you only learn after asking a sales rep for a quote. We wanted an Arabic tool an operations manager can start in a day, with the price on the website.
Why the name
Usool is how you say أصول, the Arabic word for assets, and it also means roots: the thing a branch grows from. One name in both languages, so the manager who searches in Arabic and the technician who works in English are talking about the same product.
What we commit to
Our prices are published, and we never change them in the middle of a paid period. We do not announce a feature before it ships. The interface is written in Arabic first, and every user can switch to English. We collect as little personal data as we can, and delete what we do not need.
Who runs the service
The service is run by the Novanex Studio team from Egypt, serving customers in Saudi Arabia remotely on Riyadh time, Sunday to Thursday. We are not a Saudi company and do not claim to be. Subscriptions are collected by a payment provider that issues the invoice and collects VAT.
Your data
The database is hosted by Supabase on Amazon Web Services servers outside the Kingdom, and the website and platform are served through Cloudflare. We transfer data under Article 29 of the Personal Data Protection Law and the regulation on transfers outside the Kingdom, and we sign a data processing agreement with every customer.
